Danielle, 31, says that even though Gary can provide for all her needs, she wants to be able to buy the things she wants with her own money and not be a kept woman.
“Gary said to me, ‘You could have such an easy life. You don’t have to put yourself through this’,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
“But I''m a working-class girl, and once it’s drummed into you that if you want things, you work for them, it sticks with you.
“I earn my own money. Yes, I live in a lovely house and that’s down to Gary, but I’m not a kept woman. I still provide for my daughter. I pay for her schooling myself.
“Gary and I have a joint bank account, but I also have my own account. Maybe I’ve got a bit of a, not a chip, but a thing about it. If I buy Gary a present, I want it to be from me,” she added.
