22-year-old Michelle Gildenhuys from Cape Town, South Africa was crowned Miss Atlántico Internacional 2011 last night in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The 1st runner-up honor went to Miss Costa Rica, Karen Quiroz, and the 2nd runner-up title went to Miss Panama, Ana Maria Gordon.
Three years ago, Michelle competed in Miss South Africa pageant.
