Nikola Tesla
Thomas EdisonSince we have been talking about stealing & cheating, the story of Nikola Tesla is very crucial. He didn’t care for fame or riches. He never used to participate in petty politics of his time. He wanted to do everything on his own. He worked very hard & he was a very intelligent scientist & inventor, but unfortunately his ideas & inventions were mostly stolen by others. A time came when no one was willing to invest in his work. And his name is not associated with any particular discovery.
However Thomas Edison was totally his opposite. He once said:
“Everybody steals in commerce & industry. I’ve stolen a lot myself. But I know how to steal.”
He used to hire the best people to do work for him. He wasn’t much of a scientific thinker or inventor, but people know his name even today. In fact his name is associated with so many inventions. Well we can only say he was definitely a very smart bastard.
I believe Tesla was a very simple guy & you’ve got to be ruthless & cunning otherwise you can’t survive. But this is heart wrenching that one worked so hard & his competitors used to steal the work & get the credit.
It’s a pity that even those who have studied Science are not aware of Tesla. The only lesson we learn from Tesla’s life is that life is short & time is precious, so we must steal & take advantage of others. This sounds so bad. I believe a failure is still better than the one who steals. Shame on Edison for being a bitch! I admired Edison for a very long time but thank God a decade ago, I came to know about Tesla.
