American singer-songwriter and musician Katy Perry

 


Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), better known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastor parents; she grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in church as a child. After earning a GED during her freshman year of high school, she began to pursue a music career. She released a self-titled gospel album in 2001 as Katy Hudson which failed with the closing of its record label that year. She recorded an album with production team The Matrix and completed most of a solo album from 2004–2005, neither of which were released.

 Katy Perry was performed a weekend ending performance in BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards 2010 in London on Sunday (November 14).







The ceremony hosted by Fearne Cotton and Nick Grimshaw, the "Teenage Dream" singer donned a tight-fitting frock as she dazzled the crowd at Hammersmith Apollo venue .








Miss Perry  handed out the award for Teen Hero to Connor Rowntree, who "has had nearly 100 operations after an accident that left him with severe burns," according to AP reports.
 




BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards celebrates the achievements of inspirational teens alongside awards for top stars from the music and entertainment world.

Russell Brand, 35 and Katy Perry, 25, get married in a traditional Hindu ceremony attended by friends and family at  Aman-i-Khas resort in Rajasthan. , in Saturday ( October 23) night in India.



According to Indian culture bridegroom Russell and his male relatives and friends walk to the spot where the bride Katy awaits. Russell is on a white horse, but two elephant Mala and Laxmi  are considered an even grander, more magnificent mode of transportation – the maharajas, or Indian royals, traditionally arrived at weddings on elephants. Traditional Camel-powered wedding car was used in the wedding Ceremony.





The Indian instruments like  sitar, santoor, tabla and kettle drums and the singing of traditional Rajasthani folk musicians are also arranged and played in the wedding Ceremony.
