Rihanna has been granted the opportunity to be on the cover of Vogue Magazine’s April issue.
Rihanna has never been my favourite, but of course no one approves of what Chris Brown did to her. Moreover, her father also went to the press & said things he shouldn’t have, but he did all that for a check. She’s just 23 but this woman has gone through some horrible things.
“It’s not all a bed of roses. My life is like yours. It made me look at the world in a much bigger way because my life was suddenly superduper magnified; all eyes were on me. I needed that in my life to know how to say, ‘Fuck off.’”
Good going Rihanna! One must learn to say fuck off.
This is what she said about her father & his reaction to Chris Brown’s episode:
“And then he does something so bizarre that I can’t begin to wrap my mind around it. You hear these horror stories about people going behind people’s backs and doing strange things, but you always think, Not my family. My father would never do that to me. My dad went to the press and just told them a bunch of lies. Because he hadn’t talked to me after… that whole thing … He never called to find out how I was doing, if I was alive, nothing. He just never called. He went straight to the press and got a check. And now he does it again. Now I’m like, Whatever. I tried.”
When your family stabs you in the back, that’s the worst thing that could happen to you. It doesn’t matter whether it’s your parent or sibling, it’s the biggest surprise of all time. Usually we don’t expect this of parents, but some parents cross all the boundaries. They say blood is thicker than water, but there are plenty of examples to prove otherwise.
And this is what she said about her break up:
“I just kind of shut down from that…I just let it go. I don’t ever want to have to depend on a relationship. I think it’s a really special thing to find love. It’s beautiful. Nothing can match it. But I want to make sure that I can find other things in life that I love besides … love.”
Love is so beautiful that people get hurt pretty badly. Lately I read about few incidents in which boyfriends have assaulted their girls quite badly. In one case, this man beat the shit out of his girlfriend & in his madness, he has destroyed her entire face. The doctors couldn’t say whether she was a boy or a girl. She has survived though but the pics were too graphic & I didn’t have the courage to report about that case.
All I know is that if someone truly cares about you, he won’t hit you…he won’t bitch about you with his pals…he won’t demoralize you…he won’t make fun of you whenever it's possible & he won’t go around insulting you in any way he can. You don’t have to be in love to respect someone. You can do that if you are human enough.
